"What a fantastic meal we had, in fact it was so good we have asked Rasheida & Raffie to cater for a family party in the coming months..... But not before going back several times to savour some more of their delicious food!

.

The curried goat was amazing, as was their curried chicken! In fact we were spoilt for choice!!!

.

If you are reading this then take my advice and pay them a visit...... You will not be disappointed.

.

They are the perfect hosts with a Caribbean twist of this quaint English pub.... And incidentally just what was needed to enhance the village.

.

We were in fact on our way down to London when we decided to venture in, and am so glad we did as it knocked spots of London! Oh and I might add that the menu is very reasonably priced!

.

Well done Rasheida & Raffie keep up the good work!"

“We have eaten at the Bell many times and the food is absolutely delicious!”

Great food and atmosphere, the owners Raffie, Rashieda and their daughter are the nicest, most welcoming hosts you could ever hope to meet. I would strongly suggest visiting this pub.

“Very homely Trinidadian cooking and hospitality"

Dined here with 8 friends for a birthday Sunday lunch in this historic 300 year old pub that enjoys a large secured garden for children to play. No longer serving Ye Old English roast beef but, just simply good Trinidadian home cooking bursting with spice. Rafie and Rashida the owners gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and helped with the selection of menu choices to be sure we achieved a balance meal including a small pot of Scotch Bonnet Chilli (to be used sparingly). My personal and the tables favourite choice for starters was the deep fried Aubergine served with a mixture of relish. Mains included creole beef, chicken, lamb or goat curry. Being a large table we were able to swap and share. All of the dishes tasted were delicious. We skipped the puddings having brought a birthday cake but, i'm told next time we should try the Cassava and Coconut pudding. In deed I shall.

“Fab pub, large garden, super tasty food”

Came across this pub by chance on our way back from a farm visit with our toddler. Fantastically tasty homemade food - we weren't expecting to find this for our Sunday lunch. Catered well for vegetarians, and also for those who like something a little less spicy. Great for our little boy too with a large garden. Good friendly service. We will be back !
